When I say the more kids in a session the better, I mean it with my entire heart! We thrive on the “chaos” because we know that the images being captured will blow our clients away. The kids just about outnumbered the adults on this session. Can we say “Challenge Accepted”? Being a 2 person team is a must with this size and I could not be more thankful to work alongside my husband to capture the all the joy unfold. Together we met up with this family of 18 at the beautiful Disney Vero Beach Resort. The weather was amazing and the family all looked great in their matching Lilly Pulitzer Disney Print.
Truth bomb here… Something we want every client (and every photographer to know) when you look at our work, you see the final edit. With a family of this size with this many kids, there is no way that every kid (or adult) will be looking at the camera at the same time with eyes open. We often use the power of photoshop to combine photos into one show stopper. When I am behind the camera, I am shooting for this back-up plan just in case. This freedom allows us to move on and give clients time to just simply enjoying being together. Because isn’t that the whole point of family photos? The joy of being together? I always tell our clients, we can photoshop a lot of things… but we can’t photoshop a memory or emotion. When you look at the photos, we want you to remember the joy of being together.
When working with multi-generational families, we know that each family will have their own take on what they want with their family photos. Some may want that “perfect” smile at the camera look. Others may want more of the candids. We do our best to provide each family those options. One day these photos will be past down to the kids and grandkids. My personal goal is that these photos will be enjoyed and “WOW” every generation.
