This is their 3rd baby and 4th trip to the hospital. Yup, sweet baby K. was deemed the name trickster baby with all of the false labor that was happening. Checking into the hospital yet again, Morgan was unsure if she would be staying. 5 hours later with no epidural and 2 pushes, baby K. was born.
Fun facts:
1. Baby K and her daddy now share a birthday.
2. Lord of the Rings movie was playing on the TV when we entered the room… and was still playing during delivery. (yeah, it’s a really long movie) This movie was Morgan and Walt’s first movie date 🙂
3. Baby K. was so relaxed right after birth that they worried about her lungs. Everything was perfectly normal. She just was and still is a very chill baby.
4. I cry tears of joy every time I look at these images… Every. Time.
5. Morgan (with Walt’s assistance) got to cut the chord.
Every opportunity to document a special moment in a person’s life is amazing to me. But to provide this little girl with photographs that tell her life story from the moment of first breath is mind blowing! Baby K. will get to see and feel the experience of what happened that day. From the strength that her mom had, the adoring love her dad showed and even her Mimi in all her concern and amazement as she watched from afar. These moments are once in a lifetime. They are moments that deserve to be captured in a way that takes your breath away.
